The thing that I found shocking is that the higher the rewards the higher the APR so your typical APR of 11% turns to 13% or higher with additional rewards. These cards are primarily for individuals that know they can pay down the balance each month so the higher APR doesn’t affect their payments.

Here is what you should review when looking for a new credit card:

-Fees
-Annual Fee
-Closure Fee
-Over-the-Limit Fee
-Late Fee
-Annual Percentage Rate
-Credit Limit
-Secured or Unsecured Credit Card
-Grace Period
-Rewards & Perks

Whatever you do always remember to read the terms and conditions of credit card offer before applying for one with a fine tooth-comb. If you don’t feel comfortable with the credit cards terms or that you will get yourself further into debt then do not sign up!
