Coffee-mate Cafe Collection Creamer Review & Prize Pack Giveaway

Earlier this year, I told you about Coffee-mate's new Café Collection - Café Latte, Caramel Macchiatto, and White Chocolate Caramel.  Now they've added three new flavors, Café Mocha, Hazelnut Latte, and Vanilla Latte!

I don't like drinking plain coffee, but I do love liberal amounts of Coffee-mate's flavored creamer mixed with some coffee.  This week, I tried out some Coffee-mate creamer with an iced coffee recipe using a neat stir-and-sip cup that Coffee-mate sent me.

Iced Machiatto or Latte

1/4 to 1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons Café Collection NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE Liquid Coffee Creamer
Ice cubes or coffee ice cubes
3/4 to 1 cup coffee, room temperature

Mix milk and Coffee-mate creamer in a tall glass. Fill glass with ice. Pour coffee over top.

I really enjoyed this recipe, especially since I don't like a strong coffee flavor.  (You could always adjust the milk and coffee amounts based on your taste preferences).  My brothers are visiting me so they tried out this recipe with me and they also loved it.  In fact, they loved it so much that we literally finished the entire bottle of Coffee-mate in one day.  I am not kidding!  They were drinking it out straight out of the bottle!

SavingStar Digital Coupons Update 9/30

Have you signed up yet for digital coupons through SavingStar?   SavingStar is a new digital coupon site which offers coupons that can be used at CVS and Rite Aid!  These coupons can also be used at JayC (we have one in Princeton) and Kroger stores.  If you are not from around Evansville, visit the SavingStar website to look up participating store near your zip code.

Free Redbox Rental Code for Text Club Members in October

Are you signed up for the Redbox Text Club?   They used to send a free rental code on the first Monday of the month but last month, Redbox changed it up and sent the code out on the first DAY of the month.  I'm not sure if they will be doing that again in October, but sign up now in case they do!

You can visit Redbox now to register your cell number so that you'll receive the October free rental code!  This code is one-time use so cannot be shared and is only good for the first night of your rental.

Home Depot Free Fire Rescue Helicopter Workshop 10/1

 

Here's a great free activity for the kids!  Home Depot is offering a FREE Kids Workshop Saturday, October 1, from 9 AM - 12 PM!  This month's project is a Fire Rescue Helicopter!

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

My son Peter has attended a few of these Kids Workshops and loved the projects!  Tomorrow he'll be staying home though to celebrate his fourth birthday. :)

Thomas & Friends: Day of the Diesels Movie Review & Giveaway

Fans of Thomas & Friends will be glad to know that there's a new full-length movie just released this month!  Day of the Diesels features CG-animation and two new friends, firefighting engines Flynn and Belle.  Although both of my kids love watching Thomas, Liberty crashed early and Peter and Daddy had a movie night and watched Day of the Diesels together.   Peter thoroughly enjoyed this adventure about loyalty and friends working together.  I'm sure he'll be watching it again soon with Liberty!

The back cover description reads:
The Steamies and the Diesels face off in this action-packed movie adventures! There's a fire on Sodor and two new firefighting engines - Flynn and Belle - arrive to help Thomas and Percy save the day! Do…

The Twice-As-Nice Armory consignment sale is being held this Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2, at the National Guard Armory.  On Friday, the sale will be open from 9am - 7pm.  On Saturday, the sale will be from 8pm - 12pm, close for one hour, and then reopen from 1pm - 4pm during which select items will be half price!   There is a $1 charge per adult to enter the sale.  For more information visit the Twice-As-Nice website or visit the Twice-As-Nice Facebook page.

The funny thing is that last year this sale was held the same weekend as my son's birthday party and will be this year too!  So no half-price sale for me sadly but I will be there bright and early Friday morning.  At their spring sale this year, my favorite find was a Graco baby doll swing for my daughter which  was $2 - and that was during the full price sale!
