Meet Pocoyo! Review and Giveaway

My son Peter was thrilled to be introduced to Pocoyo when we reviewed the new Meet Pocoyo! DVD together.  Pocoyo is an international show for preschoolers which debuted on Nick Jr. earlier this summer.  The series is very aptly taglined "Learning with Laughter"... one of the first things I noticed about Pocoyo was his charming laugh, as well as how the entertaining characters brought out my son's adorable giggle too!

Meet Pocoyo! features the CGI-animated title character, Pocoyo (which is Spanish for "little me"), an inquisitive three-year-old boy.  Starring alongside him are Elly the elephant, Pato the duck, and Loula the dog.  Peter found the entire DVD very engaging and now asks me almost every day if he can watch Pocoyo! :)  Even my 15-month-old daughter seemed to enjoy watching Pocoyo.  I appreciated the fact that Pocoyo does not rely on constant noise and hyper activity to engage attention (in other words, it didn't annoy me the way some of my son's other shows do!).

The DVD runs about 49 minutes and is broken into 7 story episodes which makes it easy to limit TV time to just brief segments if desired.  We also discovered a bonus episode in the special features menu.
