Pay it Forward: Macy's Make-a-Wish Santa Letters

This wonderful Santa Mailbox can be found in Macy's stores around the country and is part of their terrific program which donates up to $1 million to the Make -A-Wish Foundation.  When you write a letter to Santa and drop it off in a Macy's Santa mailbox, they will donate $1 per letter, up to $1 million!  The letters must be stamped as Macy's will then deliver them to the post office! Here is their wonderful stationary that Macy's has available. Simply print it out and have the kids write their letters (adults can do this too!).  To read more about Macy's Believe project visit the Believe site here.

To make this even better, you can even mail a letter back "from" Santa.This service is available from Santa-Claus.com.
This site is another option which offers free letters. They do offer a printed envelope too for $2.99, but the actual download and standard print or email is FREE!

Or if you want to mail your own letters back to your kids, you can sed letters to a number of different post offices to have holiday Postmarks.

Directions:

*Print the Letter.
*Place it in an envelope addressed to your child with your address.
*Place a Christmas stamp on the envelope.
*Place that SASE (Self Addressed Stamp Envelope) in a Larger Envelope and mail it to:

Post Master - Christmas Cancellation
City, State, Zip (see list below)

Include a note that you would like the letter Post-Marked with their Special Christmas Post Mark.  To ensure delivery in time for Christmas, items should be received at the post office by 12/15.
