Day 5: MI-DEL Cookies Review & Giveaway - 3 Winners

Welcome to Day 5 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways!  Every day from now through December 11, a new giveaway will be featured!    We have many great prizes lined up so be sure to visit every day to enter each new giveaway! Please note that prizes are not guaranteed to arrive before Christmas.

Although we are not always consistent, my family does at least try to make healthy eating choices.  Lately I've been using whole wheat flour and organic cane sugar to make homemade snacks for my kids since it's so hard to find healthy snacks in stores.   Of course, I don't always have time every week to bake so I do end up buying those unhealthy ready-made snacks.    But recently I learned about MI-DEL Cookies which offers a variety of classic natural cookies, organic cookies, and even gluten-free cookies!  Their many varieties of cookies include chocolate snaps, lemon snaps, vanilla snaps, ginger snaps, maple munchies, oatmeal chocolate chip, honey grahams, and more.

We were excited to try out a few different varieties MI-DEL Cookies that are made with natural, unrefined ingredients.  First we sampled the MI-DEL Lemon Snaps and Vanilla Snaps which were both very tasty.   I'm particularly partial to lemon cookies so the Lemon Snaps were my favorite.  Their great taste comes from natural lemon flavor yet it was not overpowering.

I also chose to sample the MI-DEL Chocolate Chip Cookies.  We have no gluten allergies, but I enjoy trying out gluten-free food because a good friend of mine is gluten intolerant.   The texture of this cookie was really good; there was really no noticeable difference.  My only complaint was that the particular bag we tried was a bit overcooked and dry, so we definitely preferred the Vanilla Snaps and Lemon Snaps.

Overall I recommend MI-DEL Cookies as a great healthy treat.  How often do you pick up a package of cookies that has a short, easy to understand ingredient list?  The Vanilla Snaps ingredients are: organic unbleached wheat flour, organic dehydrated cane juice, canola oil, organic liquid cane syrup, natural vanilla flavor, baking soda, sea salt, and soy lecithin (used as an emulsifier).  You won't feel guilty eating a treat like that!
