1. First of all if your car is in need of a repair, let your fingers do the research first. RepairPal is a website which gives independent and unbiased repair estimates, user ratings and reviews, and more. For example, you can plug in the make, model, and year of your car along with your zip code, and RepairPal will list the lowest tires prices available in the area.
2. Check Valpak.com for local auto coupons - right now for Evansville they have coupons for ExpertTire including $10 off oil and filter change and $25 off brake service.
3. If you haven't cleaned your fuel injectors recently, consider adding a fuel injector cleaner to your gas tank before filling up. It will increase engine performance and fuel economy.
4. Inflate those tires because studies show that properly inflated and balanced tires can get over 3% better gas mileage.
5. Make sure your vehicle is up-to-date on oil changes. You can even change the oil yourself and put a premium oil in, such as synthetic oil.
