Disney on Ice Princess Wishes Review + Ticket Discount Code

Disney on Ice is finally here!  I was invited to review the opening night show but unfortunately was unable to go, so Jennifer went instead and shared this fantastic review:

Last night, we went to the opening night of “Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes” at Roberts Stadium. My husband and I took our (almost) three-year-old daughter, Taryn, and her Mamaw also went with us. The stadium was crowded with lots of little girls dressed up in their princess costumes or other fancy dresses, each one excited about the evening to come. We actually didn’t tell Taryn where we were going until we were on the way there because we didn’t want her to have to count down the days until the show!

As the music started and Tinkerbell appeared to introduce the show, there were “oohs” and “ahs” from across the audience, and Taryn sat with her hands over her mouth in wonder. The first act, which included Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, and Ariel, held her rapt attention. The set was versatile enough to be changed for each princess, and the skating tricks were entertaining. Each song and act was portrayed well by the skating, lighting, and props that accompanied it.

After a brief intermission, the second act concluded the story of Ariel before presenting Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and ending with the new upbeat song “If You Can Dream.” I was a little disappointed that the scene about Mulan was not from the first movie as the rest of the princess stories were, but it was just as entertaining. The portrayal of Sleeping Beauty was my favorite because of all the special effects. Malificent became the dragon, which skated around the ice and then set the ice on fire – very cool. Cinderella entered the ballroom in her sparkling carriage before her dance with the prince, and the carriage was an impressive sight.

The finale was spectacular. All of the princesses and their princes reappeared together, and Tinkerbell arrived in a golden cage in their midst. As the song reached its climax, there were fireworks set off from the top of Tinkerbell’s cage. It was extremely impressive.

Overall, the performance was incredible, and Taryn loved every minute of it, singing and twirling and trying to skate along with each princess. I know it’s an evening that none of us will soon forget!

Thanks for the review, Jennifer!
