What could be better than saving money for college just with your ordinary shopping? With Upromise you can do just that! When ever you shop with select companies and retailers, Upromise credits your account with money for college. You can use these funds to open a high-yield savings account, to invest in a 529 savings plan, or to pay toward a student loan. You can even request payout by check if you prefer. Upromise is a great way to save for kids, grandkids, and others.
How To Earn:
First, sign up with Upromise. Next you'll want to register your credit/debit cards (up to a maximum of 10), grocery cards, and drug store cards to track rewards eligible purchases. Near Evansville, the closest participating grocery store is JayC in Princeton and we have CVS as a participating drugstore. There is also the option to earn rewards by registering prepaid gift cards from McDonald's or Sunglass Hut.
With Upromise Preferred Dining you earn up to 8% back when you dine at select restaurants using a registered credit/debit card. Around Evansville, we currently have one participating restaurant, one of my personal favorites: Boston's Gourmet Pizza (4% savings!). You can search for restaurants in your area on the Upromise site. Be sure to check whether the restaurant offers Upromise rewards every day or on select days only.
Every month, Upromise releases new eCoupons, which actually work like rebates since they are not instant in-store savings. To use eCoupons you simply log into your account and click to activate any that you plan to use. Then make your purchase at a participating grocery or drug store using your store card (make sure it's linked to your Upromise account). You will still pay full price for each item in the store but the value of the coupon savings will be credited to your Upromise account.
