Drugstore Deals: Saved Over 80% at CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens

Another awesome week of drugstore shopping although this week I did actually spend some money (as opposed to last last week where I made more than $4 on everything!).  But I saved a total of just over 80% this week so I'm happy!

I made a mistake with my first CVS transaction... my coupons brought my total below zero so the register rejected the last coupon.  The cashier said I had too many coupons and gave me one back.  My total still ended up being zero plus tax but in restrospect I realized that if I had thrown in another item to raise my total, I probably would have been able to use my manufacturer's $1/1 Glade coupon.  Oh well, lesson learned and the stuff was still free minus tax so can't complain, can I? :)

1st transaction:
2 packs Mentos Gum, sale B1G1 Free, $1.79
2 Glade Relaxing Moments Room Sprays, $2.50 x 2 = $5.00
Hand Sanitizer Spray Pen, $1.99
- (2) $1/1 Mentos Gum from 10/3 SS
- $2.79 B1G1 Free Glade Premium Room Spray from 9/26 SS [note - technically it should have only been $2.50 deducted but the cashier did $2.79 I think because my other coupon didn't go through]
- (2) $1/1 Glade Relaxing Moments (CVS coupons)
- $1.99 free Hand Sanitizer Coupon
Total with tax: $0.48

2nd transaction:
2 packs Mentos Gum, sale B1G1 Free, $1.79
Neutrogena Split End Mender, $7.49
Hershey's Special Dark Miniatures, $2.50
- (2) $1/1 Mentos Gum from 10/3 SS
- $1/1 Hershey's (from CVS Coupon Kiosk)
Total with tax: $9.60
Received: $7.49 ECB from Neutrogena
Total out of pocket expense: $2.11

I spent a lot at Rite Aid but most of what I bought I'll get back in Single Check Rebates (SCR).  And here's a lesson learned the hard way: tonight as I was reading my receipt to type out the transaction I realized that apparently one of my coupons did not scan even though I'm pretty sure I handed them all over.  So in the future I'm going to make sure I count my coupons before handing them over and then count them on the receipt before leaving.   My total would have been $1 lower if that other coupon had gone through!

BodiHeat Pads 4-count, $2.99
ThermaCare Back 1-Count, $2.99
Blink Tears, $7.99
Boiron Oscillococcinum Children, $4.99
Boiron Chestal Cough Syrup, $4.99
Bee MD Organic Throat Drops, $2.49
Huggies Little Movers Diapers 76-Count,  $19.99
- $5/$25 Purchase Coupon
- $1 off Non-prescription Purchase Video Values Coupon
- $1/1 ThermaCare Video Values Coupon
- $1/1 ThermaCare Manufacturer's Coupon
- $1/1 Boirin Product Coupon
- $2/1 Huggies Video Values Coupon
- $2.50/1 Huggies Manufacturer's Coupon
Total with tax: $33.79
Received: $4 +UP from Huggies and and will get SCRs for $2.99, $2.99, $7.99, $4.99, $4.99, and $2.49 ($26.44 total SCRS)
Total out of pocket expense will be: $3.35
